Jesus had a lot of patience, to stop his teaching, and let the children come and sit on his lap. The disciples weren't thrilled, but Jesus saw a special spirit within them--their trusting nature.

Regarding your comment my "GhostTown" post. I can't wait to see that girlie-quad! You have many adventures awaiting you! Those duds I have on are actually made for men. But what man would want purple , yellow and white? From 6 months on up. And children are not happy when they have surgery. So we have a lot of crying kids to listen to everyday. It can get to you. I think God moved me to recovery to teach me patience with children. And I deal with a lot of parents. This working in recovery as opened my eyes a little. I am sure God has something in store for me with children. It seems all of the mission trips I have been on revolve around children. My next mission trip is to a children's camp and an orphanage. And adoption keeps finding it way into my life. I feel that God is working on a plan for me. I am not sure at this point what it is but I think God is getting me ready for something.
Oh, I loved your previous post.
JaniceJanicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06737865243737214361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37433425.post-15420100427446064462007-05-30T06:27:00.000-07:002007-05-30T06:27:00.000-07:00OH yeah! I used to look at parents of unruly children after being a single parent of my oldest child (my 1st hubby died when Jared was nine-months old) and think, "Well, if they would just discipline that kid...'

Then ten years later after remarrying, I had my second child. The term "discipline" took on a whole new meaning...

It's hard, you sometimes have to get very creative in reinforcing the boundaries, especially with a special needs child. (My youngest has Mixed Receptive/Expressive Language Disorder) For my youngest, a "break" or "time-out" to calm down is so necessary but took us a long time and a lot of tears (and countless prayer) to get him to comply.

Enough for now, needless to say, guidance and loving, gentle, but firm discipline (setting those boundaries) is so needed. I have a request. When each of us as brothers and sisters in Christ see an unruly child, please say a pray for the child but also for the parents too. Sometimes they just may not know what to do... I've felt that way for sure!

BTW Beck - posted my MeMe today!Susan Skitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13871921369901815459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37433425.post-2482228619400325152007-05-30T03:23:00.000-07:002007-05-30T03:23:00.000-07:00Really kind of you Becky to put me on your list.I ...Really kind of you Becky to put me on your list.
I agree with you.
