Can't Hide

"Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?" Psalm 139:7

Global satellites have certainly made the world a smaller place. My husband & I were discussing Google Earth yesterday and how we figured that there wasn't too many places left on this planet that one could hide. Satellites can scan all over the world and pick up heat signatures in buildings & caves & things like that. We were wondering where or how new believers could possibly hide during the tribulation. With technology advancing so much it seems almost impossible. But, we also know that with God, nothing is impossible and that He will provide for His faithful during that time.

Supposing that some world terrorist organization is NOT looking for you with their satellites, there are many places to hide in this world, depending on what your hiding from. We can hide from our family or friends by being reclusive, ignoring calls & emails, turning the lights out if someone comes down the driveway. We can hide our feelings by wearing a fake smile, a false outlook or a blank stare. We can hide away from the hustle & bustle of the world by going into the back woods & hills, or to a quieter country with a simpler way of life.

But never, not ever, can we find any place or any way to hide from God. His capabilities go beyond the reach or comprehension of man. He doesn't need fancy technology to know where we are, to know what we are feeling or to see what we are so desperately trying to hide. He can see straight into our heart, the good and the bad, hidden & revealed, loving us despite it all.

  4. A beautiful fall picture.

As a child I was taught the song, "You cannot hide from God." Are you familiar with it? It's a good thing we can't hide from God. It's a safe feeling!

Sometimes when we think that we are hiding our feelings from others we would be surprised to find that they really know what we are feeling and just allow us the pretense that everything is okay, but with the Lord we don't even have to pretend there is absolutely no hiding anything from Him, why do we even try- Mom

  11. Nowhere to hide..... Even when we try to hide thoughts and feelings, He is there. And I am grateful.

  12. This is one truth I taught my children early. There is a good song to teach little ones that reflect this truth. "O Be Careful" teaches them to be careful what they see, hear, touch, and so forth, because the "Father up above is looking down in love, so be careful..."
