Do Not Fret

"Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way...those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth." Psalm 37: 5, 7, 9

Its easy to start fretting when things aren't going our way, when things aren't quite like we expected them to be, or when you see someone else having/doing what we want. Its easy to forget that God is in control. Its hard to be patient. Its hard to trust. Its hard not to fret!

Its times like these that we need to take a moment & remember that God is indeed in control and that we have to trust that our lives are in His hands!

  1. So true... it's easy to fret but then we remember who is in control... our maker and God... our Savior Jesus... and that makes all the difference. It is the definition of trust.

Nice picture of your hubby my friend. How's your summer going?

    God is in control.
    God is in control.

Thank you for the reminder. Saying this over and over in my mind is a comfort.

My last post is a little 'down' but because God is in control I see some good things growing out of the soil in the deep valley.

    God really is in control!

  8. I love the verse before this also..vs. 4, an exhortation to "delight ourselves in the Lord" as well...even when fretfulness attacks our inner soul. Delight, commit, trust. I am so glad you reminded us of these scriptures Becky. Psalm 37:3-5 was the first Psalm as a young woman I memorized. I love it!

Hey...I thought of you this morning as I was dropping my kids of at school. We live in a vineyard community and hot air balloons frequent our neighborhood path.
As I was coming up my street there were 3 beautiful balloons overhead, all descending at different elevations. In a designers eye odd numbers make up a better balance than even numbers and the different heights of the balloons were a perfect picture over the lush green of the community.
I didn't have a camera with me and I was thinking to myself..I bet Becky Wolf never leaves home without her camera!! :)
And then I was so blessed to get a comment from you today!
You also will be in my prayers today for God's perfect plan in your life.

    Blessings to you,
    Laurie

Some days we fret, other days we praise, it would be so great if we could praise even when we fret. God Really is in Control- Love you Mom
