Look Up

"My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up." Psalm 5:3

And what a beautiful morning it is. After a few days of cool cloudy weather and rain, which was indeed a treat in the middle of July in the desert, this morning is bright & sunny, a light breeze & blue skies.

Its days like this where God's grandeur in creation amazes me. How can anyone not see how perfectly designed this world is, how planned & thought out it was since the beginning & what a precious gift it is to us? The trees, the lakes & rivers, the grasses & the dirt.

I went for a jog thru Hayne's Point yesterday morning & I couldn't believe the variety of birds I saw there. I always see a great volume of birds, but this time I was noticing so many different varieties that I would have to stop dead in my tracks (good time to catch my breath) and have a gawk at these birds. (too bad I don't take my camera jogging) And I sit here at the computer desk with the window open this morning & all the birds are in full morning chorus. They too look up to God in the morning & give thanks.

Well we were awakened by a quarrle between our rooster in the coop and old Hennie who is now outside trying to outsquawk one another, although it woke us at about 4:30, still a good sound, seems all birds need to offer praise first thing in the morning, hmm sounds like they have got it right-Mom

  2. I had a really rotten week and was in a funk. Then I drop in on heiresschild and her post reminds me to take my troubles to God and over here, I am exhorted to "look up to God". God is speaking to me through both of you. Thanks.

  3. He's in the grandeur, and in the fine details... and he created us somewhere in between so we can enjoy both ends of the spectrum...

Thanks so much for your insight Becky. Have a wonderful day!
