Family Time

The whole family, at the Calgary Space & Science Center

Ah, a weekend spent with the family! Laughter, tears, fun, chaos, exasperation, joy. Its all of that & more. Lawrence & I drove up to Calgary Alberta for a few days to spend time with his entire family. We converged from north & south to meet in the middle in this great city.

It was truly a great time, despite some organization chaos, losing people in the city's biggest mall on a Saturday, a few temper tantrums by the children and a few of the men having the flu. Yes, it was still a great time. Weather was fair, & the driving roads were perfectly bare & dry. And we all got home safely lastnight only to hear that Calgary got another snowstorm over night & woke to about 6 inches this morning. Oh its good to be home!

Family is so important. Yes, every family has its 'disfunctions' and we did have fears of 'issues' happening between family members over the weekend but for the most part, I think we were all just happy to see eachother. Such a rare thing when family lives far apart & such a blessing when we are all able to get together. I will definitely cherish the memories made this past weekend!

  2. It looks like you have a great family. When ever our family gets together there is always mishaps with us also. When my Dad remarried 6 years a go I got a whole new family. We are like the Brady bunch now. But I am so blessed to have everyone of them in our life.
Love the pic of your husband holding up the moon.
Hopefully I will get some blogging Done this weekend.
